KUALA LUMPUR: It has been a long eight-year wait, but Malaysian fans of Jacky Cheung finally got to see the Hong Kong superstar’s acclaimed Chinese stage musical Snow.Wolf.Lake at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil here last night.

A capacity crowd of almost 9,000 people watched the opening performance, which featured elaborate sets, heart-wrenching songs and dazzling performances by the cast.

Snow.Wolf.Lake is the first large-scale Chinese musical production to be staged in Malaysia. The show is presented by DiGi and organised by Galaxy Productions.

It tells the tragic love story of Wolf (played by Cheung), a poor gardener who falls in love with Snow (Evonne Hsu), who is from a rich family.

Hong Kong actress Nadia Chan takes on the role of Phoenix, Snow’s sister, who is also in love with Wolf.

Conceived by Cheung in 1997 and initially performed only in Cantonese, the musical proved to be so popular all over Asia that a Mandarin version – which is the one performed here – was created to reach out to Mandarin-speaking audiences in China and Taiwan, as well as South-East Asia.

The performances in Malaysia will also be among the last that Cheung is appearing in, as the singer is set to relinquish the role to another actor next year. There will be another performance tonight-www.thestar.com.my

5 vs 1..

i'm actually waiting for ping now at uni so guess it is better for me to blog than to waste time wandering here n there like a spirit...u know jus like wat they call in cantonese..."wu wan yea kuai" hehehe

i had jus finished reading an article on relationship (yes, i know i should b reading some journals on my thesis instead..) then i recall wat mr.lee said in the sociology lecture last semester about interaction in relationship (i think, can't recall wat's d topic anyway hehehe)..
mr.lee was busy explaining d types of marriage, realtionship and so on...we (as in me vs siewling vs chau yen) too r busy toking bout our own relationship instead hehehehe

anyway d point is, i remembered quite clearly tat he did mentioned on a study in US . Through d study it shows tat in a happy couple, there is a need to show 5 positive interactions to cover 1 negative (5 VS 1) interaction tat has been made... that means if accidentally, yr bf said something that has hurt you for example " babe, u r fat d la recently"

he need to say at least 5 times of positive words to cover his mistake like
"but still, babe u looked sexy in that dress",
"n oh yes, d make up today makes u looked beautiful",
" my dear those earings, they r new?",
"yr hair, i like d way you tie them up..it makes yr neck desirable"
n lastly "babe...i'm so proud to hav you with me tonite :) "

on d other hand,
in my opinion, in marriage, one should not say the word "divorce" easily....
likewise even as a couple, one should not say"break up" easily..
i never like d idea of people saying breakup" as though it is part of their vocab cox i personally
think it is very hurtful..

then, never leave home or yr partner after a quarrel..cox u'l never know wat wil happen once they go out..
in d mid of frustration n sadness, ppl tend to b more emotional n less rational
therefore, it is very dangerous to b alone out there..accidents may happen..
moreover, when u get home, still you hav to start d quarrel all over again 2 finish d previous "unfinished battle"..

8TV here v come..

went to TV3/8TV today for a forum today....we r suppose to write a broadcast news for d forum which is about "press freedom". It is conducted by TV host Mr.Goh Wee Ping( yes, he's very smart looking n cute too-i like his smile) wit special guest Mr. Tao Jie, a very famous writer from hong kong and Mr. Zhen our local media analysis( i think so la, hehehe) and Mr. Cheng a former news anchor in Singapore...
since it is conducted in SUPER-DEEP-MANDARIN..i kinda get half of it n lost half of it hahahaha..anyway, my main purpose is actually to visit d TV station itself kakakakakaka i hav another two forums coming up to choose from so nvm la..i'l enjoy myself first hehehe

lol i've watched so many of TV3 programes since i was a kid...i remember watching d kids show on saturday morning (wat's d name d huh?), then disney tv3,melodi, majalah3,pop kuiz n etc etc..i like especially thier news.....dun ask me y, i jus like it....but i must admit they hav a lot of beautiful news anchors...

anyway, when we reached there( 8TV building) i saw a few people like Wati( from spanar jaya), Cheryl Samad and a senior female news anchor( whom now has become a producer)..i some how developed a short term memory when i can only looked at them n ask my fren.."hey hey, tat is who a, who a..she's at...she's in ......u know..huh, nevermind.." ;p

then i notice that the station has about 4 to 5 plasma tv along d main corridor n each of these plasma has their own air-cond while we r sweating in d stuffy building..i wonder wat's wrong wit their air-cond....so can't help but to gather around near d plasma while "tumpang-ing" its air-cond (how unfair)

d show started at around 2.30pm n ended d recording at 3.30pm.
c how different i looked when i'm wit d different wee ping (younger weeping scratching d ear next to me n older wee ping standing towering next to me)....
duh d one wit Goh Wee Ping looked like s#@*......wat's wrong wit me..it is so ugly!!!!!! must take pic wit him next week cox he'l b giving a talk in our UNI..hehehehe

but d actual wedding dinner will only b held next year...i'm not sure y but i am sure mayb they need to plan well afterall her new home is way far from peninsular, her new place is in Sabah i think.....hehehe i wonder if she'l invite us over with all stays n flight expenses included muahahahahahahaha...

found tis website which provide pretty cute dolls for us to dress up...it's a pretty neat place for us to play around when life gets too boring..u know how v use to play those paper dolls tat v can dress them out by cutting those clothes or dresses tat were ready made or we drew them ourselves..remember? i think it cost us bout 20cent per piece of clothes( ?)..sometimes they come wit shoes n handbags as well...but no earings la..

Was in d bus bk from uni jus now, n we were chatting about how I had once went to a 看命人life teller(out of curiosity) to c wat was my past life n wat wil b good in this life n how my future life would b (三生书)…then, tat is when ping asked me a question..

Ping= “do u think, yr past life, n yr present r living in year 2005 as u r now?”

I was like “ huh?”

Ping= “ I mean in 2005, but diff in time(as in pm/am) n diff dimension空间?”

Ping= “perhaps d time could b d same, but yr past is a diff (looks, gender, age) person but he/she is in 2005 of other dimension”
