i had jus came bk from d cinema after watching "I Not Stupid Too" 小孩不笨2 with see fong n chu..special thanks to them for d free ticket kekeke chu says it's my bday present kakakaka....anyway, enjoyed d movie very much n i must say, it is a movie worth to watch...
if u had watched the first episode of movie with d same title 小孩不笨, you'l realise that what they actually featured in d movie are exactly what is happening in d society or rather in singapore itself nowadays....i personally think, not only in spore but people especially chinese family r acting as shown in d movie as well..
children are required to perform at their best by scoring As in sch n any activities bsides study is nthg but fooling around n time wasting....chinese parents are too busy earning money n they tend to neglect d children by not being able to have time to listen to what they children has to say..they thought by providing money, luxury, video games..they'l b able to compensate what d children has lost..parents that will share, support, n be there for them..afterall, parents r d one they r closest too..
d story line is rather simple but i really like d meaning carried bhind it..d dialogue that they use n d scenario that they potrayed..there r few scenes that r really touching n meaningful..i especially like a part where Cheng Cai (Joshua Ang)'s father try to tell his son "i love you" kakakakaka that part was funny yet very sweet..then there's another part where d younger kid Jerry (Ashley Leong) was being cane on his hand for stealing money (d reason behind it, very very touching..i cried like hell)....yea, that part remind me of when i was small..my dad caned us too but not for stealing money la..for some other reason..now that sure brings bk memory...
as for Tom (Shawn Lee), if u remember he's d kid that always get cane whenever he failed to score 100 for his math n he then attempted to commit suicide by jumping down from his apartment..in d second movie, u'l b suprise..he is such a grown up...i mean..he really grew!!! both he n Jushua Ang (d one that sells mee in d first episode) r getting more n more handsome.. :)
d rest of d cast was marvellous too...every character has something to impress d aud...a movie where each character weights equally to each other...Jack neo certainly has impressed d aud once more with his slice of life movie...
it's a movie that will truly remind n brings u into d mind of children...highly recommended :)
p/s: pls bring along packets of tissues if u r d type that can cry easily...like me kekekek ;p
