SPORE Trip

I went to Spore earlier this month during the labour day for a family gathering kind of. It was meant to meet up with my brothers ( both in spore) and my parents for Barry's bday, Jerry's bday and Mother's day.

Let me see, I haven been to spore since i was in form2 and at that time I went with jerry for my cousin's wedding ( wedding= coincident, holiday=main purpose). So i was pretty excited then and it has been ages since we have a family gathering, it is always one sibling left in spore or i myself in KL whenever we have time to go back to our hometown.Ping sponsored my airplane ticket and and also some pocket money hehehe ( I did bring my own k but hey currency thingy is sure killing)

So off i went from LCCT and soon within 45mins, I'm already at the arrival hall waving to Barry who came to meet me that night. We hop on to the MRT and everything seems clean and well organized ( So clean and TOO ORGANIZED for me) Static and lifeless i would say. It came to me as a surprise as it felt like there was no freedom and excitement as everything looks rigid and on the line.

I arrived at my brother's place in Aljunied at about 10 plus and we chatted abit before we all were off to bed. My parents arrived the very next morning all the way from hometown and they managed to bring us some hometown cuisines. LOVELY!!

That afternoon, i changed and went to meet my sohay buddies, CYEN( + sister) n LLY. It was so great to see them again and yay i will be seeing them again next month!! We had a wonderful steamboat and we managed to catch up a bit. Off then i went to Tempines where my aunt's stay. My whole family were there for dinner and I am at my own to find my way there. I was given the directions by my father, Jerry and wife and also Barry, that's all. It's a pretty nice feeling to be able to walk on my own with some directions given and some help from my F2 memory, I managed to find my way there.

It's true somehow, it feels safer in Spore. I walked with less caution and with more comfort.

SOHAY!!

Then, the following day we went to visit some tourist spots and not forgetting Orchard Road hehehe. Am not a exactly a shopaholic, i prefer walking along the street and look look see see. everywhere i go, it's clean, tidy and safe. In exchange of the lack of freedom and excitement that I mentioned earlier during my arrival, I must say, it worth to a certain level afterall.

mummy and little bro dearest

3 important man in my life + also my hubby ping

We ate well, we enjoyed ourselves very well that few days. It feels great to be able to get together and i truly enjoyed eevery moment of it. I left Spore on that weekend itself and i actually felt threaten the moment i entered JB but that didn't last long though, afterall i am in msia since i was small and I've been studying and working in KL for nearly 5 years now.

I must says, despite everything that spore has, msia still is still colourful to me. After seeing and experiencing few days life in spore, it makes me really proud that msia is a multiracial country. We have friends of all races and it's amazing how we can live in such a harmony. It's a pity that not many msian know how to treasure such a beautiful bond nowadays. On top of that, our mamak yam char session is the first thing i notice and miss the most when I'm in spore.

In conclusion, spore is clean, tidy, organized, low cost of living and SAFE.
Msia is messy, not clean, not well organized BUT it feels much more humane, close to heart, warm and exciting.

It's a tough call.

MY WONDERFUL FAMILY.

THANK YOU BROS FOR THE WONDERFUL HOSPITALITY! YOU ARE OFFICIALLY RATED 5 STARS!! Hehehe

p/s; i hope i don't offend any sporean /msian with my comments.
